Online applications for AMCA support of Medical Students Exchange Program are now open. The Fellowship provides support for Clinical Clerkship at one of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) hospitals for the school year 2012/2013.

5th Canadian IBRO School of Neuroscience

Montreal and Quebec City, Canada. This USCRC School of Neuroscience supported the idea that developed countries should become the base for international neuroscience education. A unique feature of the School was its close link to the annual meeting of the Canadian Association Neuroscience, a meeting that brought together over 1000 researchers from across Canada and the United States.

4th Canadian IBRO School of Neuroscience

Ottawa, Canada. Following an already well-established mode, the 4th Canadian School of Neuroscience in Ottawa brought twelve students from Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific to Canada in contrast to the usual IBRO schools where faculty travels to their areas.

Third Canadian IBRO School of Neuroscience: Neurodegeneration and Regeneration

Vancouver, Canada. Following in the tradition of previous Canadian IBRO Schools, this school included twelve students from Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, China, India, Morocco, Kenya and Cuba, unlike other IBRO schools where faculty travel to the students' areas.

Montreal, Canada. 2nd Canadian IBRO School of Neuroscience – Fundamentals of Pain
Following the model of the last year’s school in Toronto,  the 2nd Canadian School of Neuroscience in Montreal  brought fourteen students from Africa and Latin America to Canada, unlike the other IBRO schools where tutors travel to their areas.

Toronto, Canada. First Canadian IBRO School of Neuroscience
Designed for young, promising trainees in experimental and clinical neuroscience from less developed regions of the world, the school was the first IBRO School held in North America. The group included graduate students, clinical trainees and junior staff from Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela.

Vancouver, Canada. "Neuroplasticity in development, learning and disease". This Advanced School of Neuroscience is offered to IBRO Alumni and other young investigators residing in Africa and Latin America. As in previous Canadian schools, students will have a chance to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Neuroscience.

APRC: 3rd School of Neuroscience, Monash University
Sunway, Malaysia. Cutting-edge sessions will keep senior PhD students and junior post-doctoral fellows abreast with advances in key areas of neuroscience research, providing a platform for young neuroscientists to meet and access high-profile minds in neuroscience research. There will also be a two-day Neuroscience Symposium co-organised by the NeuroMalaysia Society held at the end of the workshop with lectures delivered by internationally renowned speakers from the Asia-Pacific region. AMCA Québec Medical Students Exchange Program

AMCA Québec provides fellowships in support of Medical Electives Clerkship at one of the McGill University affiliated hospitals. The applicants have to be regular students in good standing of 5 and 6th year at one of the following medical schools: Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek and Mostar.
